About me
Hello and welcome to my site!
I’m from Brittany, and fishing has been part of my life since I was young. My older brother went to weekend fishing school, and watching him carefully prepare his rigs surely sparked my interest.
I started on a small private pond with a few friends, mainly targeting roach. Hunting for earthworms the night before—and sometimes adding maggots or pinkies—was part of the ritual. Behind the pond ran a tiny stream, mostly home to minnows. At first, we ignored them… until we discovered their use for trout fishing. That changed everything: casting techniques evolved, trout became essential, and my passion truly took off.
Step by step, I moved up the food chain to pike, my main focus today. After a year and a half in England and another along the Australian coast—where I bought a full set of fishing gear with my first salary—fishing became central to my life. I’ve lived in Hamburg for six years, mostly fishing for pike locally and in the Netherlands, Denmark, and Sweden.

I’ve always been drawn to working with wood, and as a lifelong angler, making my own lures came naturally — a perfect mix of passion and craftsmanship. Having worked in sales since I was 16, sharing my creations became a logical step. I started making lures just before COVID, using wood, a noble material, and very few tools — hence the name WoodHandLures: “Wood” for the material, “Hand” for handmade. My workshop has since evolved, and I sometimes make resin lures from wooden prototypes, each piece designed to combine effectiveness, durability, and fishing enjoyment.
For now, my site offers two types of lures, but I continue to experiment and improve my creations. Every lure is the result of passion, artisanal skill, and my experience on the water. I hope they will accompany you on great fishing trips and help you fully enjoy your passion.
